旗津 (Cijin)

Cijin is a small island in Kaohsiung district. It is famous for its seafood production and of course as a tourist spot in Kaohsiung. Initially, we plan to pay a visit around 3pm.....knowing that it has a very big night market, but halfway change our mind after seeing all other interesting spot available~

So we took the MRT to Sizihwan station and walk to the port. Funniest thing about this trip is that, 10 minutes before we leave our hostel, no one actually knows how to reach Cijin......and everyone was asking, who knows how to go arr?~ Again, thank you Google and netizens for the very precious info~

Photobucket
Waiting for the ferry...quite a long queue

Photobucket
15 NTD per person, but you can get 3 NTD discount if you have any student identification~

Photobucket
The journey was quite short, less than 15 minutes only

Photobucket
We decided to rent a bicycle to round the island.....

Photobucket
Our destination map...screw it! totally misleading!

Photobucket
Star tunnel.....nothing special actually~

Photobucket
At the end of d tunnel

Photobucket
Hungry, decided to grab some lunch first before continue sight seeing... Forums and food blogs recommended this stall....quoting as regret if you don't try~

Photobucket
Regretted to say...totally overated~

Photobucket
The stall next to it taste nicer~

Photobucket
mmm...hmmm~slurp~

Photobucket
Kimchi sotong ball~

Photobucket

Photobucket
never like kimchi~ and also not so interesting la~

Photobucket
This is really good. Sausage....cute to start with, and taste very good~

Photobucket
Glutinous rice enclosing sausages....mediocre....

Photobucket
Big bowl ice~ How big? Lets see~

Photobucket
Very very big! Full with grapes, banana, starfruits, papaya, pineapples and some other materials....very nice actually, especially in such hot day...but cost 180 NTD~~~

Photobucket
Wah!!!

Photobucket
Normal ice cream la~ just with some gimmick....

Photobucket
I thought it was some sort of key chain or souvenirs.... suddenly when they started moving around I realize they are still alive.... totally unacceptable!

Photobucket
This fort was built to defends against pirates~

Photobucket
Tourist can hike to the top for the fort and light house...to be honest, not so worth for all those hard work...but totally worth it for all these scenery~

Photobucket
Even Cape Rachado in PD is much better than this light house~

Photobucket
But from the top, we can almost eagle view the whole of Cijin

Photobucket
Cijin beach~

Photobucket
Fountain located beside d beach......

Photobucket
Still alot of places havent visit...most importantly we must reach the windmill before sunset~ No time for others I guess...The war memorial plaza~

Photobucket
I have never seen a real windmill except from pictures. Holland one seems much greater in terms of design and outlook~ ha!

Photobucket
Sunset are always beautiful......too bad its so short live......

Photobucket
Dinner time! My favourite 肉燥饭 (Hot Meat Rice?). Very nice but might be abit oily~ However, this is not as good as the one I tried near KMU~

Photobucket
They even add in some chicken floss~

Photobucket
Oyster fried eggs~ Still prefer then one from Sarawak...crispy yummy~ =P

Photobucket
I get at least a cup of red tea daily these days....Taiwanese love to mix red tea with other drinks....the fusion seems to be the magic that makes their drinks so special~ This is a lemon red tea....special and interesting eh?~

Photobucket
Throwing rings and redeem prize~ Always a scam~ 50 NTD for 50 rings and yup..none went in~ =.=

Photobucket
Chinese opera just beside the port~

Quite a tiring but enjoyable day. Saw alot of new stuffs and learn quite alot in this journey.... Hope for a more interesting one next week! Can't wait~ Until then, night~~ For more picture, kindly log on to here~
