Some Hotspring, Wharf, Museum...and mainly museum~

In my opinion, a relatively uninteresting day, until a very interesting event which happened before the night ended. Allow me to reveal it later in my entry....but yup, we went to Beitou and Danshuei district at the north part of Taipei.

Photobucket
Take the MRT to new Beitou district, just a 10 minutes walk from the MRT station is the thermal valley. Beitou district is very famous for their hotspring even before the Japanese colonization~

Photobucket
Gosh~ my bet that you get cooked instantly when you jump in~

Photobucket
Beitou Hotspring Museum~A few blocks away from the thermal valley~

Photobucket
Have to change into their slippers

Photobucket
It was once used by the Japanese during their colonization...so the architecture and structures are mostly Japanese style

Photobucket
A rare mineral stone that can only be found in Beitou District... Mind you, is radioactive~

Photobucket
Here is the old pool.......

Photobucket
Another must visit in Beitou...why? merely because it is an award winning architecture~

Photobucket
Hmm~ I am not really an art guy la~

Photobucket
Anyway, at least we came~ ha!

Photobucket
Ketagalan Culture Centre~ Another aborigine's Museum

Photobucket
No camera beyond this point~ But to our surprise, alot of words and culture are very very similar to our Malay language and culture~ Even the Ketagalan itself sounded so Malay-ish~ No offence though, I don't know much about Darwin's evaluational theory to comment~

Photobucket
Nothing much left in Beitou, so we took another round of MRT to Tamshui district. Being the centre of colonization, alot of European Colony building and architecture could be found here.

Photobucket
Belongs to a Qing Dynasty officer

Photobucket
Dan Jiang High School(淡江高中), the place where Jay Chow film his "Secret" (不能说的秘密)

Photobucket
A Dutch building

Photobucket
Very similar to those found in Malacca

Photobucket
Used to be the work place and residence of a Dutch officer

Photobucket
Old canon from Qing's Dynasty

Photobucket
The dining hall

Photobucket

Photobucket
An old fort with a canon launching battery

Photobucket
Walk all the way here just to see an empty fort......

Photobucket
Finally, the fisherman's Wharf (淡水渔人码头)

Photobucket
At night, we went to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) to meet up with another 2 friends who did their electives in Taipei

Photobucket
Merely interesting~

Photobucket
Quite ok~ but as I said, interesting~~

Photobucket
Here are the love birds~

Photobucket
Another round of food~

Photobucket
大饼包小饼(Big pie covering the small pie)

Photobucket
First, crush the biscuits and then cover it up with a piece of cake batch

Photobucket
Nothing special~ Just a glamorous name~

Just when we were about to leave, a very familiar figure caught the attention of my friend~ Guess who?! Is JOLIN TSAI!!!! OMGOSH! She was quite alert as she quickly noticed our gaze and ran away with two of her assistants. The next day, appeared in the newspaper, Jolin was dating with her boyfriend in Shilin Night Market~ Syiok~~~ =P
