A Lost Civilization

Cambodia was one of the strongest and most powerful empire in South East Asia in the 11th till 13th century. Its influence spread from Vietnam, Laos to even reaching the peninsular of Malaysia (Not mentioned in our history it seems~). During the reign of the Khmer Empire, we sees alot of significant great architecture being built, Angkor Wat being one of them. However, in later years, their influence seized to exist and for centuries being the vassal of both Vietnam and the Siamese. In the end, after the colonization by the France, they finally acquired a true independence with independent administration. Sadly, the subsequent years sees alot of civil war which in the end taken its toll on this once upon a time a great nation. My subsequent entries will see how this great nation endure years of civil war, genocide, lost of a great civilization......
